An interesting process to watch: we visited this workshop in Nepal which was silk screening a multiple color Hello Kitty pattern on the day we visited. While this pattern is clearly not on any of the products that we import from this shop, it was neveretheless a delight to see the work done in person. Each color is screen printed separately.
Below is a sight that we hope is not lost to time and progress: a weaver operating his loom by hand (also in Nepal). We have a great respect for the process of creating the textiles from which our clothes are fashioned; in many places in the world, this process is still done by hand as it has been for many centuries.
