Ikat Thai Silk Stole
Ikat is an Indonesian word but this fascinating dyeing technique is found all over the world. Yarn is tie-dyed before being put on the loom, resulting in streaks of white or other colors in the underlying field. The weaver knows exactly how the scarf will look before the stole is woven.
Our Ikat Stoles are a generously-sized expanse of shimmering silk. The stiff texture of the hand-spun and hand-woven silk makes the stole earthy-looking and elegant at the same time. A showpiece whatever you combine it with, in a host of unusual colors.
