Our Story

What is Invisible World?

Invisible World is a family import, retail and wholesale business dealing with other family businesses across the world. Our apparel is hand-made from raw materials that are indigenous to their countries of origin, and their fibers have been traded for hundreds or thousands of years. Our family is just continuing the tradition.

Invisible World was started in 1984 and was originally called Paititi Woolens after the legendary lost Inca city of Paititi. Starting in Ecuador and Peru, we have expanded our line of apparel and jewelry to include clothing from 6 different countries in the Americas and Asia. The name was changed to Invisible World in 1994 to better represent the mystery and magic behind the hidden treasures we offer. For us, our textiles from far-off places form a map of an invisible world of the imagination.
